Sandy Stuvik (RP Motorsport) has managed to take a new pole position this season with his lap time of 1:46.760 at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza today. Thailand´s racer has beaten his teammate Andrés Saravia by 282 thousandths and therefore securing today´s front-row for RP Motorsport. Saravia was able to keep Alex Palou (Campos Racing) at bay, and they are excellent news for Stuvik as the Spaniard is his main rival. Kevin Giovesi (DAV Racing) will start 4th alongside Palou, an awesome result for the Italian driver on his return to the series.
Christopher Höher (BVM Racing) has taken fifth place with his Dallara F312, ahead of Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport), they both to start on row three. Artur Janosz (RP Motorsport) was stripped of one of his laps due to not respecting track limits and qualified 7th on the starting grid.
It was not an incident-free qualifying as John Simonyan (RP Motorsport) went off track.
