Thailand´s driver has set today´s fastest lap for RP Motorsport. Giovesi (DAV Racing) has claimed a brilliant second place ahead of Palou (Campos Racing)
Sandy Stuvik (RP Motorsport), the current drivers´ championship leader, has finished on top today´s free practice sessions at Monza. His lap time of 1:46.890, set in the first practice session, was a class of its own as the closest rival, Kevin Giovesi (DAV Racing), was more than three tenths slower than him. Stuvik looks formidable this weekend and his rivals won´t have an easy task ahead.
It was an excellent result for Giovesi who was second – and finished first at FP2- ahead of Alex Palou (Campos Racing). The Spanish racer has clinched another good finish position beating Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport) and the Austrian youngster Christopher Höher. Andrés Saravia (RP Motorsport), Konstantin Tereschenko (Campos Racing), Artur Janosz (RP Motorsport), Tanart Sathienthirakul (Team West-Tec) and another returner, Damiano Fioravanti (BVM racing), rounded off the top-ten.
Sixteen drivers finished in a split second, separated by less than one second.
The most notable absence was Mattia Vita, who should have debuted with Team West-Tec.
