Closely-fought qualifying session at the Autódromo do Algarve for race one as 13 drivers were covered by nine tenths. Finally Stuvik claimed his second pole position this season ahead of his teammate Janosz
Thai driver Sandy Stuvik (RP Motorsport) has grabbed another pole position in the Euroformula Open. Stuvik will start from the pole position at the Autódromo do Algarve, setting a time of 1:42.624, faster than anyone else on track. At the beginning Tanart Sathienthirakul (Team West-Tec) was on top, but he was beaten successively by Cameron Twynham (Team West-Tec) , Artur Janosz (RP Motorsport) and finally Stuvik. It was a good qualifying session for Fabio Pampado´s team as Poland´s Janosz was 2nd fastest and will start alongside Stuvik.
Then, on row two, Twynham and Sathienthirakul were third and fourth for Team West-Tec. John Simonyan (RP Motorsport), performing extremely well, put his car fifth, ahead of Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsort) and Gerardo Nieto (DAV Racing). Good result for Nieto on his debut with a Dallara F312 car. Alex Palou (Campos Racing), Yarin Stern (Team West-Tec) and Andrés Saravia (RP Motorsport) filled positions between eight and ten.
Constantino Peroni (RP Motorsport) took pole position in Cup class.
