Thailand´s driver, vice-champion in 2013, has finished on top after three free practice sessions held at the Autódromo do Algarve
The Euroformula Open has carried out three free practice sessions in Portimão, and they proved to be worth for each and every driver, gaining experience on the Portuguese track. At the end of the day, Sandy Stuvik (RP Motorsport) has finished on top posting a best lap of 1:43.926 in FP1. Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport), was second but only twelve thousandths slower than Stuvik, and the third place was for Yarin Stern (Team West-Tec) – and fastest on Thursday-, half a tenth off Thailand´s time and proving how close the times were.
Nici Pohler and Tanart Sathienthirakul, driving two Team West-Tec cars, came in fourth and fifth place. At Campos Racing Konstantin Tereschenko was his best placed driver finishing 6th ahead of Che-One Lim (Emilio de Villota Motorsport) and Sean Walkinshaw (Campos Racing). Top-ten was rounded off by Artur Janosz (RP Motorsport) and Wei Fung Thong (Team West-Tec).
It is important to highlight that William Barbosa (Corbetta Competizioni) felt unwell as a result of two painful vertebrae and one of the two DAV Racing cars, driven by Henrique Baptista, was damaged as a consequence of a manhole cover not attached properly.
