Great Britain´s driver, with his Team West-Tec car, finished fastest after three practice sessions setting his best lap at the end of the day in the third free practice session ahead of Palou (Campos Racing) and Sathienthirakul (Team West-Tec). Peroni (RP Motorsport) was first in Copa
The Euroformula Open kicked off the season at Nürburgring today with three free practice sessions and, as in the norm at the German track, fog and rain visited the paddock in the morning. Cameron Twynham (Team West-Tec), vice-champion last year in Copa, was fastest early in the morning in the rain and, after Yu Kanamaru (Emilio de Villota Motorsport) ended first in FP2, the Briton has clocked set the pace in the third free practice session.
Improving almost two second last year´s pole position time, Twynham has posted a lap time of 1:53.063, beating by a small margin Alex Palou (Campos Racing), second after another brilliant performance. Thailand´s Tanart Sathienthirakul (Team West-Tec) was 3rd in the timesheets ahead of his fellow countryman and rival Sandy Stuvik (RP Motorsport). Yarin Stern (Team West-Tec) rounded off top-5.
Constantino Peroni (RP Motorsport) was first in Copa ahead of his teammate Saud Al Faisal.
