Adrián Campos´ team announced their first three drivers for the 2017 season: Brazil´s duo of Iorio and Viavacqua and Romania´s Florescu

Campos Racing is continuing its preparation for the upcoming season and the Alzira-based team has officially confirmed the three drivers that hope will lead them to defend the titles they won last year: Petru Florescu, Matheus Iorio and Thiago Vivacqua.

Florescu, who was born on 4 January, 1999 in Bucharest, will be making a comeback after four race starts in the Euroformula Open under Teo Martín Motorsport banner last year. On the other hand, both Iorio and Vivacqua will be making their European F3 debuts in the Euroformula Open. Iorio, born in São Paulo on 10 June, 1997, recently claimed title in Brazil´s F3 series with ten wins to his credit. His fellow countryman Vivacqua (Rio de Janeiro, 16 December 1996) is another driver with immense talent. Thiago ranked fourth in the Brazilian F3 championship and he has competed in several Formula Renault-based championships.

Florescu said: “I´m very excited to join Campos Racing for the 2017 Euroformula Open season! They are the reigning champions and they all are a very professional group of people who I respect immensely. I am sure together we will fight for wins straight away and I can´t wait for the season to begin!”.

“I´m very happy to be part of this great team. Since the first test I did, I felt at home. And that is the most important thing. This will be a very important year for me, as I´m making my debut in single-seaters in Europe coming from a great season in Brazil. I hope to learn from Campos Racing a lot and work well together, improving in all aspects. I will be forever grateful for this opportunity!”, Iorio explained.

Finally, Vivacqua added: “I´m really pleased to join the team and we will fight and work hard to be on top. Thanks to all the Campos Racing team for the support!”
